Debadge and De-4x4?

Yes I too have a black platinum... I am thinking about de-badging the sides only and removing the 4x4, what do you think? Here is a lame photoshop example:

Do the 09+ models have holes in the sheet metal behind the badges like the 04-08s? If so, you'll have to fill them or cover them somehow.

Looks WAY better IMHO. I removed the FX4 stickers from my '09 150 with a hairdryer (see thread or pics in my album), but I didn't take off the badges because I was told there were alignment holes underneath that would require patch and paint. This was verified for the F150 badges on the sides, for the tailgate badge, nobody knows yet. BTW: that's one sexy truck in black!

Well if there are holes nix that idea, i know they had holes upto '08...but I was told there were not longer holes in '09...of course I could have been informed incorrectly.

yeah, just take off the 4x4 stickers and call it a day. I did on my Platinum, looks much cleaner without them.

If you ever need body work someday, then you can have the badges removed and holes filled.

Bummer about the holes. Like the clean look so at least get the stickers off your $45k+ truck!
