Gas Cap

I saw in some pictures a lock over the gas cap. Do all trucks come with that cause I just picked my 09 up and it doesn't have that.

Thanks

I would imagine I would want to keep the capless fuel filler opening. It's the little things in life...

Fueled mine today for first time. Really like the capless filler! No more gas cap hanging against your paint...

I bought the locking gas cap at the dealer for $20. It's much easier to remove than the old twist off caps. After you unlock it removes completely. No paint bangin, and I sleep better knowing my tank can't be syphoned.

i don't think you can syhone gas out because their is a one way ball that stop gas from running out when you flip over

but it would stop someone from say giving you a full tank of water or sugar or somthing like that

you could syhone gas out if you wanted it might be more difficult then before but all someone would need is to get one of the filler tubes that comes in the back of all 09 F150's to help open up the filler neck. but i bought mine to get things from going in. i only paid $8 plus tax cnd for mine.

If they were to syphon out the gas, they would just leave the hose in after their done.

The fuel does go in the tank really well. No bottlenecks to stop the filler nozzle.

Deno-FX4 Where did you get your cap. Great price.

I wish Ford would have just used a locking filler door like Honda does - that would make a great system.

It's all about those little things to stay ahead of the competition. Do you guys really think a locking anything will keep your fuel safe? All a thief needs to do is cut the fuel line or drill the tank and your gas is gone.

A locking door is not going to prevent a hole from being drilled in a tank and it will be a prime area for keys to scratch the paint....not even considering the huge hassle that this "feature" would provide. Personally, I want nothing to do with a locking door or cap for the gas. But that is just me I guess.

Im not talkin bout having a key hole in the door. My mustang had a button that you pushed and it popped open. So no key scratches and if they want to go as far as drilling a hole in the tank not much you can do for that.
