Cool New Truck came in.

Ordered new Platinum Sat 2/28, came in and picked up today 4/6. Just a bit over 5 weeks. Better than I thought.
It's a White Sand, stone interior, 6.5 bed. Of course weather was crappy by the time we left dealer. But WOW, what a great ride and feel to it. We will need the weekend to figure out all the stuff it does and has.
My Verizon LG phone would not sync up. It kept disconnecting. Sales manager has same phone and it does not work with his Ford Edge. May have to get new phone soon. Will get some thoughts and pics up of truck on the weekend when weather supposed to be better. So far it's really cool

Congrats! And enjoy the truck, probably going to be a smart move getting a new phone to enjoy all of what SYNC has to offer.

Congrats on the truck. Sounds great. Before you go get a new phone check out the SYNC website. I was able to get my Treo all hooked up. They have a pretty good forum for phone info. Good luck. http://www.syncmyride.com/#/home/

Columbus, do a fellow F-150 owner a favor and post pics of your silver Platinum. I'm STILL waiting on mine (ordered way back on Feb 16)to arrive and would enjoy seeing pics of the Silver Platinum.

Oh, Mg5ford, CONGRATS and I'm envious - enjoy your new ride!!!! Four bananas for you..

thx

congrats on the new platinum!!!

That's a great looking truck. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you set you back? I'm trying to determine how much dealers are knocking off the sticker price of new trucks nowadays. Thanks.

Yeah I know if NO pics it did not happen. Weekend will get pics if weather holds.
Thanks for the good words. You guys are correct, it is a GREAT ride. You really do not get it until you take a Platinum for a ride. It's just a truck but it's amazing. Ford hit it out of thr park with this. Now to compare my old ride was a 97 f350 4x4 crewcab diesel. Have owned other Fords, 1-F150 a 93, 3-F250's 72,77,88. I'm a true Ford truck guy. My wife has an Explorer.

More report stuff after a few days.
Troyf150- There is a few threads about cost an discounts. Basically I got dealer to go $500 under invoice without much problem, plus $4000 in rebates.

A few people mentioned about Ford ESP extended warranty buy on line from other dealers. Looked into this and used it to bargain with finance guy. He would not come off price of $1295 for 6 yr 60k miles, 100 deductible. Lost story short, got it down to 750, 50 deductible and first day rental.

A little added surprise dealer filled 36 gallon tank, first oil change free and 5th one after that free. I thought it was pretty good. As my wife said, it was a very uneventful purchase. Very easy to spend some bucks for a great truck. Thanks for the congrats.

HotLap,

I just posted my pictures on the Photo Gallery under "ColumbusGA's Platinum." Can't seem to figure out how to add them to a post...
