Bug Deflector Pics

Ordered this almost 8 weeks ago and finally came in today. I got the excuse that the company (stampede) wasn't making the deflector until there was enough on order and blamed it on the economy.

I've seen the replys befor saying they wreck the lines but IMO it looks good going above the grille not over it...... It was a real PITA IMO the fit wasn't the best and the top clips on the grill are a real bitch I broke one. Just over two months I have 3 rock chips on the front lip and a crack in the window so hope this will help from now on....

When I was a kid my dad always put screens over his grill( his 94 150) to block bugs from going into the rad.. I had some left over screen so I thought I'd try to attach somthing to the back side of the grill and see how it holds .. My question is there a kit? is this a need?

Do those bug deflectors really work?

I've placed a screen infront of the radiator and tranny cooler but behind the grill. It's a really cheap mod that can help the life of the radiator.

How difficult is it to get behing your deflector to clean your hood and fenders? It looks prety close. I want to get one for mine also before 'Love Bug Season' and am trying to decide on which one to get. These later model F150's don't really lend themselves for decent looking ones but you've got to do whatever you can with what you have. What's the 'official' name of the one you got and where did you get it? Direct?

Here is my bug deflector; this one fits over the overlay though.

Also, Installed Grille-4U billet aluminum inserts to help from stocks dinging up the rade. I could put 2 fingers through spots on the stock grille.

Another option is to go with the shorter deflector --- this is the one I had on my 06

but I finally removed it and sold it - liked it but thought it broke up the effect of the stripes too much. Here it is now without

Probably would have kept it if I didn't have the stripes. Got this one on ebay but the dealerships sell them too. They're branded in the corner "F150." Not sure if they fit the 09-10 body style.

Heres mine. It seems to break up all of the chrome on the grill.

Wow! That is a nice looking truck. What size tires are those? Do you have any pictures from the side view?

I decided to try something a little different this time, the Lund Aeroskin.

Pig - Does that go above the chrome top section of the grill? It's hard to see with the glare off that shiny truck.

It does go above the grill. No chrome on mine though.

I like the shield and insert F_AST, ordered two and did not like the way they looked on truck--don't mind going over overlay-where did you get the bug shield and inserts--thanks
