Question Hd-Radio module for factory Nav

Anyone added HD-Radio to their Sony factory system?
I see Sony makes a module (XT-100HD), but not sure if it's the right one for this system, or if it's SYNC compatible.

I was interested in HD radio too. For the moment, it's available only in select markets (ie. big cities). Anyways, here's an old article from Sept 2007 stating Ford was to have HD radio in 'almost all of its new vehicles':
Ford to make HD Radio available on almost all new vehicles

Just when you thought your radio carrier headaches had gone away -- bam -- Ford starts offering HD Radio on almost all of its new vehicles. That's right, according to a recent press release, the automaker -- which just showed off its new Sync system -- has plans to equip (should you so choose) a large percentage of its 2008 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles with the new high definition "standard." HD Radio -- if you'll recall -- is free, and broadcasts on about 1,500 stations in the US, but offers higher quality audio than standard FM, in addition to features like track ID and extra "piggybacked" channels (called HD2). On top of the inclusion of the systems in new vehicles, Ford says that its 2005, 2006 and 2007 models can be retrofitted with the receivers, thus giving your old jalopy a sheen of newness heretofore unseen.

Not sure if the HD add-on will work with Sync but you could check with your electronics retailer (assuming the retailer provides customer support and service).

Well, I found an article regarding Sync and HD-radio that stated Ford would be selling Factory installed HD modules that would be Sync compatible in their 2009 models, but according to the "live-chat" guy on Syncmyride.com, adding any HD module to the existing system would completely disable Sync.

I did look at the JVC KT-HDP1 Portable HD Radio, which is a portable solution that I could just plug into the Line-in jack. I'd assume I'd have to just manually tune it, but otherwise it should work. There are quite a few HD stations in the DFW area, but my main interest is the soon-to-launch 24-hour Dallas Cowboys station in conjunction with 105.3 FM.
