tow/haul button

do you guys use the tow/haul mode as drive instead of overdrive....i like when the tranny shifts less and at higher rpms...is it bad to drive around town with it on....on the highway i use the reg drive mode

There's really no need to use it for normal driveing as you will prob use more fuel. But def use it when towing a heavy trailer.

tow/haul does not equal overdrive off.

Never really need my RPMs that high if im not pulling anything. I know gas is cheap, but c'mon =)

To each their own, but keeping the tow/haul on while driving without a significant load does nothing more than burn more gasoline than necessary.

I like using it for sure when going down hills. Tap the breaks and you get a downshift.

i dont like how the tranny shifts up and down a million times if i go down the street....i figure since its a heavy truck its like im always hauling some big *** truck around all the time

I recommend pressing the little round button on the side of the shifter labeled Tow/Haul. Your problem is solved.

No harm in using tow/haul mode all the time. No harm in letting it shift 5 times before 45mph either.
