This can be done. Metra makes a kit for it. I don't know the part numbers off hand but a few of the guys from the focusfanatics.com site have added aftermarket head units to there focuses while obtaining sync. Maybe do a search on there site for it. If I find it tomorrow while I'm at work I will post the info for you.
