Brought the new ride home & some pics!
I got my new Lariat Supercrew on Wednesday and finally got a few pics of it just a few minutes ago. I have loaded them in my album. These trucks are incredible. In the last 5 years I have had a 2002 and a 2005 Supercrew 4x4, a 2004 and a 2008 F250 Crewcab PSD Lariat 4x4, and I just got this 2009 F150. This is the smoothest, quietest and most advanced vehicle I have ever owned. I have read some posts regarding how the truck seems slow off the line but I have to say that this 5.4L coupled with the 3.73 rear end has plenty of grunt for me.
I got the Camlocker toolbox installed and my Escort radar detector hardwired yesterday and the Husky Weatherbeater floorliners installed earlier today. I had the dealer send it out for a Line-X bedliner before I picked it up. The only thing left to do right away is have the front windows tinted to match the rear windows.
I had a 120 mile ride home from the dealer and most of it was interstate and I averaged 18.0 MPG cruising between 65-75 mph. That's exceptional for the first tank of gas and with the 3.73 rear axle.
My dealer walked me through the SYNC features and paired up my Blackberry before he would let me leave the lot. If anyone is looking for a good dealer give Ravenel Ford in Ravenel, SC (just outside of Charleston) a try. They are a fairly small, rural dealer but they had exactly what I wanted and were great to work with.
Anyway, just wanted to say that I am extremely pleased so far and hope that continues but if it doesn't, this forum is a good place to get advice and support.

VERY nice looking truck. Congratulations on your new Ford. Enjoy.
As for your dealer...it sounds like he wants to do a good business AND have return customers. That the only way to run a dealership.
I know things are expensive these days but If I had a dealership...EVERY new car purchased would have a full tank of gas before it left the lot, a quick tutorial of how to operate and understand all options and a wash and wax plus first year service free. THAT is what tells your customers that you are valuable to the dealership and you want them to come back and tell their friends how well you we're treated. THAT is advertising NO money can buy. Good luck with your new truck my friend.
