BakFlip HD Installed - With Pics
Installed the BakFlip HD yesterday - pics are below (hope they work). All-in-all, I'm satisfied with the product. There are a few minor "fit and finish" items I was a little disappointed with, but the positives of the cover (low profile, hard top) outweigh any negatives. I wish they would add just another 1/4" of rubber around each side - I think it would lay over the rail a bit better.
By the end of the day sitting in 80 degree sun, the "bubbles" in the rubber stripping in the photos had gone flat and look much better. I think they just got a bit "wrinkled" in shipping.

They are wrinkled since it sits folded up in the box for awhile until someone buys the cover.
How much did you pay for yours? Or did I provide you with the source?
I wouldn't worry about minor marks in the cover either, it's going to happen over time. For my last cover, I had the Advance folding cover and it was aluminum panels too and they can get scratched up if you aren't careful.
My Bakflip HD is working out great so far, it's been almost 3 months now.

I was doing some research on the BakFlip HD in the past, and was very impressed with its design as well as the 3 year warranty. However, when I went back on their website today it now states that the BakFlip HD has a 2 year warranty. Has anyone else noticed this? What happens to those people who bought it with the 3 year warranty? Did the company change the warranty becuase they discovered a problem with the design or performance of the cover?

did it say 3 years before on their site? I don't recall. It's seems alot of different sites either had it at 2 or 3 years.
There's no problems that I know of. So the warranty is 2 years, but then I think rebadged HD version of the Ford OEM accessory cover has a 3 year warranty? What did they say about the warranty when you bought the Ford version Scott?
The G2 just has a 1 year warranty.

I've gotten different answers from different people at me Ford dealer. One told me that the cover would be covered by the factory warranty (3 year/360000 mile or 60000 km) or longer with an ESP. Someone else told me that the cover is considered a Ford licensed product (basically ford just buys the product from Bakflip with a Ford logo instead of the Bakflip logo) which means the cover's warranty comes from the orignally manufacturing company and not Ford. If this is the case then the it becomes more important whether the warranty is 2 or 3 years. I have made some inquiries further up in Ford Canada to try and get some clarification on this issue.
