I think they look just fine. I don't see any reason to change them. I may have to order some. Thanks.

yeah, I'll leave them for now. if I can pick up a couple of emblems on the cheap, I'll see if I can crack them open and paint them. it's just something I'm curious about.

Just took delivery of my 2009 F150 XLT reg cab, on Saturday - love the truck! Did the Cash for Clunkers and traded-in my 89 F150 XLT - man, what a difference.
Does anyone know if the Rear Sensing System (back up beeping system) can be added via an upgrade kit in the field? I am not interested in the camera, but would sure like the beeping sensors - any feedback appreciated.
Thanks
Roger

Not easily, as it would require either drilling, or replacing the bumper. I believe there is a accessory from Ford that fits in the receiver and does the same thing.

Hmm no black platform running boards? Or do they just come from the factory?

Not sure about the '09's (that would actually require going outside and looking under the bumper), but my '05 already had a spot for the inboard sensor mounting holes in the black plastic license plate fascia...I would have only had to drill the two outboard holes.

By the way, congrats on your new truck and you must be in heaven right now trading up 20 years on a new truck...what a cool feeling it must be
