Project smoked mirror reflector
Well i was bored today and decided to smoke my reflector lense's on the mirrors.
I started by unclipping the orange reflector covers. They take a bit of effort to get them out but they do come out. Dont try this when the mirrors are cold as they might snap the clips that hold them in.
I then purchased some of this stuff
I gave the lense's their first coat after cleaning them but the paint started to crackle and split so i let it dry and sanded it back down till it was smooth again and gave them a thin coat to start.
Then i gave them one more coat
I might wait until fully dry and wet sand them because it's very hard to get a good smooth finish with type of spray. I will post pics of them installed in the morning.
They come out better than expected. They have a lovely gloss finish and they look better one the truck than i thought they would. Very easy cheap mod.

I done the final coat of clear and let it dry for 3 hours and then wetsanded with 2000 grit and finshed off with a plastic polish. Come out smoother than when the were new.
