fuel filter
Where is it? I just changed my oil at 15k (do it every 5k) and looked real quick for the fuel filter as I plan to change it at 20k. I didn't spend much time but didn't see it. We have an 07 Expedition that I've changed twice. It is right on the front of the fuel tank. It is definitely not right there on my 09 truck.
Anyone know where it is???
Must be with the transmission dipstick.....

Replacing the fuel filter is a really important thing to do if you want to keep your engine in tip-top condition. I usually change mine every 20-25k miles.

Huh? Integrated fuel filter that never needs replacement?
I replaced my filter in my 04 earlier this spring after 60,000 (I know, way too long) and it was like dumping a sand box out of that thing. Truck idles much better too.
Unless it's the size of a 5 gallon bucket, this will be a problem in the future.

I was in the dealership/service for my 15000 mi service and I watched the whole crew looking and staring and looking and gawking underneath the truck as it sat on a lift. Back and forth to the parts guy... looking at schematics... then to me with the revelation that the filter in actually inside the tank and could not be changed. Seems these 90's are still a pretty rare species at some dealerships.

I glanced at my fuel filter and it only looks like it is a couple of latches that hold it together. On the 04 and under(OBS), are are these removed by unhooking those latches?
