you can always check with ford to see if removing the piece voids the warrenty.

You guys need to quit working at being so wise and read what Bill at PHP had to say. He simply removed the snorkel to compare with a CAI and found that there was not a lot of difference. Thus many of us have done the mod listed in the HowTos.

Took mine off and its much louder. With my exhaust abd that elbow removed it makes it sound what the truck should really sound like!!
