Absolutely Loving My New 09 FX4 Screw

Well after a few months of waiting I finally received my new 09 FX4 Screw a little over a week ago and I absolutely love it. I had originally ordered a XLT Screw with the chrome package (XTR package here in Canada) but I always preferred the black interior of the FX4. So 2 weeks after ordering my first truck, the dealer let me change my order to an FX4 and said they would just put my original truck on the lot and sell it. In the end it only cost me about $1500 more for the FX4, and with the additional standard features of the FX4 (rear defrost, skid plates, etc) it almost paid for the difference. So in the end I have a 09 FX4 screw with 6.5' box, oxford white, reverse sensing system, back up camera, side box access steps, chrome step bars, trailer brake controller, and the black sport cloth captains chairs with floor shifter. I've posted a bunch of pics in my gallery, and I'll try and link a few here. I have already had the front windows tinted (20%) and Line-X/Line-X Xtra sprayed in the bed and the rear wheel wells. I love the way it looks, rides, sounds....just everything about it. I am coming from a 2001 Mustang so this is quite a change for me, but one the I enjoy every day. I appreciate this forum and all of its members as they helped me tremendously in making my decisions. Thank you all.

Nice truck scott.. I had an 05 Lariat, then had an 07 Mustang GT (a phase I went through) and now I couldn't wait to get my new 09 Lariat. Enjoy the truck!

Oxford White FX4's rule!

Thanks for sharing the pics - looks like you are as happy with yours as I am with mine.

x2 I have the same setup but with the Luxury package and in Sterling Grey. This is the fourth new vehicle I have owned in my life and by far the best so far. Two previous ones were a Honda Accord and Honda Odyssey.

I believe that the build quality on the F150 beats both my Accord and Odyssey - I was a die-hard Honda guy for the last decade.

Ford has a winner here. Next time around I hope to have a F150 1/2 ton with a diesel engine though! Hopefully by then the diesel will be out and have been on the road for a few years.

It was $60 to spray the Line-X in the rear wheel wells. I did it becuase the white from the bed really stood out in the wheel well. My guy even sprayed the Line-X Xtra in the wheel wells too, as he said he had a little left over from the bed. Overkill...yes, but I don't mind and it gives it a consistent look with the bed. Here are some pics (sorry about the glare, it was really sunny out).

Beautiful truck! I really like the white with that black grille, it goes well. The line-x in the wheel wells is a great idea, I might have to get that done.

All in due time. My next addition will actually be a tonneau cover, probably the BakFlip HD.

I can't believe they only charged $60 for the wheel wells. We spray liners at our shop and that is alot of work for that little amount.
