Use the disk utility under applications/utility. you can format it in any format you want.

Has anyone loaded a movie on their hard drive and tried to watch it through the 2nd USB?

Does anyone with a 2010 know how to get the tray on the dash off? It looks like there is no rubber mat. It appears to be all one piece.

Are the plugs in the back of the computer the same? I just ordered another plug from Ford and hope it fits in there.

The rubber mat is there. I went through the same gyrations until I figured out that the mat is only on the bottom of the tray. I doesn't look or feel like rubber but it is there. Slide a screwdriver or something flat like a credit card down the inside vertical side of the tray and where it stops is where the mat starts. Good luck--that wad the most frustrating thing so far with my truck--figuring out that there is in fact a mat there.

The plastic mat is there...rub your finger around the edge and you should feel it and be able to lift...I used a toothpick to get mine up

Ok, did the mod las night. The hardest part was getting the mat on the dash up. Funny. I'm wondering something though. Has anyone switched the two cables on the radio. Wouldn't it be more convenient to have USB1 running the ipod and USB2 be the one not really used on the dash? Also, I ran the cable all the way to the center console and the ipod sits in the holder on the underside of the lid. I like it in the center console.

I found the part # for the Ford cable. I like the Ford cable cause it snaps in place and wont shake lose. The part # is 9L3Z14D202A. It costs 26 bucks or something close to that. I also like this one cause I dont have to have any adapters or like 8' of cable stuffed in my glove box.

DO NOT ORDER THIS CABLE UNLESS YOU WANT TO MODIFY IT!

If you look at the stock cable that came with the truck; you will see that there is a corner that is cut off and grooved. The other USB port is opposite. If you order the cable you will have to cut the corner that is not cut and sand it down. Once its cut and sanded down it will connect. Its a really snug fit.
