Handheld Tuners Available for 2009 F-150

Looking for a good handheld tuner for the new F-150's have used the SCT before for Mustangs, but not for trucks and not very many of the auto shops that tune the handhelds will tune/dyno trucks. There are so many out there and everyone has a prefrence.

Looking for somthing that will increase gas mileage, add a little horsepower, and can change some of the pcm parameters (adjust speedo, ability to change gear ratio, etc.)

Thanks,

statikuz: I know you can search the forums and have, there isn't a very clear handheld programmer that most are using for the F-150 that is why I wanted to post a thread on this to see what most people are using, there are a lot out there Hypertech, SCT, Diablosport, Bully Dog, Edge, etc. But it is good to know what others with the same vehicle are using so you can make a good decision.

With Mustangs most people use SCT or Diablsport, even though there are probably 10 more you could select.

I have been running the Max Energy for about 2 weeks now and it works very well. I have also ordered the SCT X3 flash device from Don at Lasota Racing and according to UPS's website I should receive it today. I spoke with him on Tuesday and he said that SCT had just released the flash device for the 09 F150 and he already had the tunes for it ready to go. He shipped mine out that same day with 3 custom tunes. I'll keep everyone posted on the differences between the Max Energy and the X3 later on.

Thanks,
depending how far you are from Covington VA, you could call Troyer Performance and reserve dyno time with Mike. He will build you a custom tune based on your dyno pull. it would be a good afternoon and they may even buy you lunch !
