Did you follow a writeup on here about how to tint those lights? I have the general idea but following the directions from someone that has successfully done it is alway nice.

I loosley followed the write ups on here as far as preparing the lights, wet sanding with a little soap/cleaner in the water, spraying, and repeating until you are happy. I sanded lightly between coats let them dry about 30 minutes between coats and did it all in one evening. I let them dry overnight after the final clear coat and polished them the next afternoon.
For those looking to do this, here are a few observations based on my experience ;
1. The NiteShades paint dries just a little darker than when first applied.
2. If you get an uneven coat or too dark, you can sand it off pretty easily to lighten the color.
3. You only need to sand lightly to assure the lights are clean and oil/wax free.
3. I even sanded the clear area which I didn't paint, the clearcoat made the area clear again and smoothed up the overall finish.
4. I tinted my tails and third light and still have part of a can of the NiteShades paint left over.
5. If you are still concerned, buy an old light off of eBay and practice on it.
