That depends on the wheel backspacing and offset. I would go with them if you are going to need them to keep rock chips off the paint. Basically if youre wheels are gonna stick out an extra inch or two compared to stock I would seriously consider them and I would not consider them overkill.

 

The rims are 17x8 4.50" Backspace Offset 0mm which will stick out 1.5" more than stock. I guess it will be a good idea to do it. I like how my fx4 has non painted flares to have a contrast to my silver paint. What color do they come delivered?
