Wow, that's a lot of info to be posting. I think I would wait until someone offers you a PIN before throwing it out there.

Have you tried at blueovalforums? I got my PIN there.

Good luck.

You can always buy a few shares of Ford stock and contact investor relations to obtain a X plan PIN. Very easy and heck, you might end up making a few bucks on your minimal investment.

Great idea. I forgot about this - if you buy a few shares of stock, each stock holder gets to X-Plan PINs each year.

Ford stock is around $7.50 a share so the 100 shares is $750 and you will get more of a discount then that with the X-plan, then in 3-5 years when the stock is back where it belongs at a mid $30 range you will have ~$3,000.00 as a down payment on the next genereation Truck - WIN WIN lol

How much discount does an X-Plan get you? Is it better than haggling the dealer to get you a good deal without it?

I'd say definitely maybe. It depends on the vehicle. If the vehicle is moving slowly, like anything during $4 a gallon gas, then you would probably do better haggling. But for a quick "I want this vehicle," it works out pretty well.

From what I've read on here many people are able to just as well or better, but it takes time. I don't have a lot of time for the haggling and I don't really like sales people so it works great for me.
