New guy looking for a 2010 FX4

Been cruising these forums for a while now as I'm looking to order a new Screw FX4. I'm looking at one with the 6.5 bed.

The issue is I'm seeing the prices some guys are ordering and it's all over the board. Someone said they ordered a 2010 platinum for 38K?

I'm looking at a white screw, 6.5 bed with Sync, drivers group, power sliding window and FX4 plus package (since there is a package discount for that) and the Sony stereo. The price I'm getting is basically 37000 before TTL.

This seems high to me, I think instead of ordering one I should just wait till Sept or Oct and see what other factory discounts are going on and get it then.
I should also say the price I got was the X-Plan price.

Thanks for the help and look forward to fixing her up whenever I get her.

Prices dont seem to be as good for the 10's as they were for the 09's when they first come out. I aint seen the 2010 plat for 38k thread but who ever got that deal got a great deal. If you can get 20% off msrp on a 2010 then think your self lucky. Most so far seem to be getting x-plan price at very best. Just tell the dealer you will pay invoice and no more. If they dont drop then use another dealer.

Thanks, I could be wrong about the Platinum, I've seen so many trucks and prices I'm getting dizzy. I would just like to get this truck by Sept or Oct and I hope there is some sort of further discount at that time. I'm just concerned that If I order it, it will come in at a time with no extra deals. Guess it's luck of the draw.

You will normally find that rebates on a model year will increase as time goes on. It's very rare that they will be more when they are just released than less when they are 6 months old.

38k would be for a 2wd Platinum. Mine under X-plan was right at 38k, although I have an 09, I cant imagine the 10 being that much more for a platinum.

I just looked up the price on USAA's web site. Thats how I got my 09. Its a pre negotiated price. Can't get any incentives on the 2010. You will save about 5 grand on an 09 for the exact same truck. I always want the newest thing out. Good luck. You can't loose either way. These trucks are great. I have the black FX4 with luxury package. I always get questions and compliments.
