i sent off a hotline request about that here is the response.

Hotline response:

Dean,
Of course anything is possible, but the PCM will be trying to control the hydraulic coupling in the fan he has now and will be looking for the RPM reading from fan. No information is available about an upgrade kit that hotline is aware of.

electronics are always more efficient, and there could be a slight hp gain by removing the rotating mass on the water pump.

you would free up hp that you lose due to parasytic loss...you technically wouldnt gain more hp on top of the 310 you have at the crank but you would see 15-20 more at the wheels (so troyer says)....while idleing your fans would be running full speed so you are cooling the truck better and getting colder a/c at idle....and you gain 2-3 mpg due to less drag on the engine at all rpms......honestly i dont know why all cars dont go this route with gas prices these days

Wouldn't the extra loss still be there as the fan will be pulling more amps from the alternator which in turn uses more of the engines HP? There's a scientific term for this and i cant remember what it's called. Basically if the fan has a 15amp/5hp motor then the alternator is going to have to supply 15 amps which takes a tiny bit more than the 5hp because of losses involved. You cant get more power out of something your putting less into.
Dam whats that scientific term.

Are you sure that the 10s are going to have E-Fans? If this is the case I'll go Super Duty or other brand. I did the E-fans w/ the GM truck and it sucks. Works great unloaded. Sucks loaded. I hope that this is in correct and they are staying w/ electro clutch set ups.

yes its true and Ford builds a billion times better quality than Government Motors, so don't compare something based of a inferior product, when you haven't even used it.

I would have to put in a manual switch though in case you chose to cross into some deeper water...on wait I would never subject a 2010 F-150 to that right off the bat, lol.

Yeah, thats right the government own GM back in 06. I forgot. P.S. I won't talk trash about GM drivetrains. I've never had a GM truck shoot a spark plug out at me.
