production of the fx2?
#407
Hey guys, new member here. I've got an FX2 on order as we speak. Will probably be here by the end of the month but will wait to take delivery of it until the first week or two of March (wait to see what the incentives will do for Truck Month). Here's the link to the window sticker.
As far as details about myself, this will be my 5th F150. I had a '94 XL r/c 300 I-6, '96 XL r/c 5.0L, '98 XLT r/c 4.6L, and an '03 XLT Screw 5.4L (all 2wd). Because of my father, I've grown up around Ford's and, at one time, sold them. Even tho I'm no longer in the biz, I still keep up on all the details of Ford trucks and Super Duty's (one of the many jobs I held was Inventory Control; I ordered vehicles from the factory and did dealer trades). I will try my best to help out on the forum -- I am usually a pretty objective guy but in the end, people are gonna do what people WANT to do! And I'm fine with that...
First question: Isn't there someone on here named "Screw Builder", or something like that, that can tell me when my truck will be built and when it has been shipped? Just curious...

Hey preluder, just FYI, your bed extender is mounted upside down. My dealer did the same thing and I corrected it myself. You just need to swap the left and right parts to the opposite side.
When the extender is in the open position, the locking tabs should be in the higher position and that rod in the center goes down into a hole in the tailgate. The writing on the label will also be right side up when the extender is open. Here's what it should look like...
