2009 F150/100,000 miles

I am speaking with a dealer regarding an 09 F150 and I told him that I planned to keep the truck for at least 10 years being that I will soon have a college education to pay for (son) and I figure the wife can keep getting newer vehicles. I was told that at 100,000 miles that the truck will start to break down. I currently have a 2003 F150 Harley with 91,000 and have had no trouble. Why would a general manager speak so negative about the mileage on a truck? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why speak negatively? To sell you another truck at 50,000 to 60,000 miles of course! Trying to plant the seeds of doubt in your head, hoping you'd be a repeat customer. I would find a new dealer if that's the way they're peddling Ford vehicles.

If I was the dealer principal of that store, I'd fire that general manager for being an idiot and not supporting the product we represent, sell and service.

That is a pretty dumb statement for any general manager to make. I could see people going to a Chevy or a Dodge with a comment such as that... Maybe he need a new job at Mickey Dee's...

What a douchebag!!!

Find another dealer ASAP, and when your Ford turns 100,000 + take it back to that asshat and tell him to stuff it

So how long does a non-replaceable fuel filter last? I don't know about what that dealer said, but it does not seem they build these trucks to last like they used to.

The Harley is being used as trade bait being that I really don't want another car payment at this time. My truck will be missed along with the looks from all the girls when it was detailed.

Until the fuel pump quits.
