not trying to jack the thread, but I also tinted my tailights using film rather than paint. heres a quick before & after shot:





im eager to see how the paint job will look though. please keep us posted!

You'll love the PPG version alot better than nightshades. Ive done 2 sets of tails like that for mine.

I like the tails. I think this will be easier than painting them. Might have to do this yet.

Only problem with using flim or some people on here have also just painted the where the chrome shows on the out clear lens is, you can still see the chrome if you walk up to the lens and look down on it. Which in my opion makes it look horrible. Also with film tint over the chrom it tends to have a brown color which also looks horrible. With PPG painted lens you first shot the clear/black (tint) over the whole lens to your liking then come back over that with the color of you choice on the chrome area's followed by a few coats of clear and you have a beautiful set of tailights.

I'm glad to tell everyone that my test panel had very little oil in it so, we are running the lines with air for the day to remove any left over oil in the system, then tmrw the fun starts.

Should we all get together and sell candy in traffic to raise enough coin to see this project through?

IDK where you are but those guys have been bugging the hell outta me in Arlington and Palatine and they're also up and down 62.

Maybe they turned out crappy or had another guy do it for him and waiting on him to get done.
