2010 Lariat

Hey fellows and gals, Been around a while, don't post much. I have a new 2010 F-150, 4X4, 5.4 Lariat parked in my driveway. Brought it home so I could look it over and let the wife drive it ( She loves it) I'm thinking of trading in my 04 XLT, 4x4, 5.4 with only 18,900 miles. They want it bad, like new. Ford sent me an incentive for $750.00 off and when I called Ford they also told me I qualify for another special APR financing. The 04 I bought new 4 years ago, I got $10,020 off MSRP. Any advice would be appreciated. Now if I can remember how to download pics. Don't have much time!
My camer sucks for some reason.

Concesus on the new trucks tend to be from 9-10k off of the 09s. Not to many 10s yest but id assume the same. Gorgeous truck!!

tell me something ... (OP or anyone else)
How is it that he has 3.55s with the TT mirrors
I was under the impression that with the lariat it HAD to be w/ max tow which is 3.73 rear axle?

You can get the TT mirrors as an option without either of the trailer tow packages. You're right that the max trailer tow package requires the 3.73LS dif, but this truck doesn't have it. That's how it could have the 3.55 with TT mirrors.

Is that a block heater cord hanging out of the front bumper?

If so, I would certainly hope that when you buy a 38K vehicle, they would at least have a mounted receptacle........

Yeah, It's a cord for the block heater and you can store it. I just wanted to make sure it was indeed equipped, just forgot to (restore it) I live in Montana and it's a must have.
Update, After several hours of 'negotiating' I drove it to it's new home. I gave Doc, the salesman I've known for years a list of the numbers I expected/wanted to make this deal happen. I checked two resources for my 04. Kellys blue book,NSDA. The best at $13,300. I wanted $16,000 pushing it quite a bit, but to my surprise they offered me $15,800 for it. So, with the rebates, trade in I got it for $23,335.42. It was close to my numbers. Not a huge bragging deal, but I thought it was fair enough and my payments actually dropped by 4 dollars a month. BTW, I can get the extended warranty for $500 but have to decide before 30 Sept. A special offer that usually cost $1000-1200. It would only raise my payments 4 or 5 dollars a month so I have to think about it over this weekend. If I recall, it takes it out to 6 years or 60,000 miles. I'm planing on trading every three years now so that's where the decision comes into play.

Man I really love this truck and it's the first time ever, my wife drove it before buying and absolutely loved it. I have allot to read, just the SYNC feature gives me a woody. Voice command, climate control, (she's cold, I'm hot= no problem)

Anyway, I got to make some excuse to go somewhere and hop into my new ride. Hope to get a couple better pics with my POS camera. Catch ya later

HaHa!

I agree - a feature that I thought I would never use turns out to be one of the best.

Congrats, and enjoy your ride!

Nice truck - enjoy your new ride!! Nothing like a new car, the smells, the absolute joy of driving a new vehicle and discovering all the features/functions. I did a "super detail" on my '09 Plat this weekend and it feels brand new all over again! Wash/clay bar and waxed the entire truck...paint surface is as smooth as a baby's behind

Thanks, Yeah I know, that new car smell gets me every time. I spent so much time reading the manuals, I forgot how to use my camera. So I had to put down my new truck manuals and read up on my camera. So one more last pic unless I do something foolish and add mods. Take care

Why do you want to replace your truck with less than 19k miles?

You only live once. I loved my 04. But after driving this one, I was amazed with ride quality, all kind of goodies, feel safer in it, and got back that new car smell. This truck is a world away form the 04. My payments actually dropped a little and I have a truck that's six years newer and a new warranty. Plus, for $500.00, I can get the extended warranty out to six years (expires 30 Sept) . I really don't know how to answer your question except I just plain wanted it. And a big plus is my wife likes it much better too. And they gave me $2500 more than it was worth according to Kelly. But the big grin I have when driving it is worth it to me and that's all that counts. Especially Sirius Sat. I think channel 103, Blue collar comedy. Cracks me up.
btw- I got the extended warranty. Takes it out to six years. I'm not to concerned about the mileage. Payment increased a little over four bucks a month.
