That said, I think in your situation I would hold off and try one of the tuners that have been suggested. This will save you the depreciation hit on your F150, it'll save you gas $'s, it'll save you the hit on depreciation on the new F250, etc... I guess I'm just saying you ought to explore all options before jumping to the F250... unless of course the real issue is that you wish you had bought an F250 in the first place and not so much the power you feel you are missing.

I'd have to say no on that deal then... sounds like it's not such a great deal given that it doesn't have much of what you want in your truck. If you spend that much time on the road, you better get something that you like/want and not settle.

I never tow, nor do I carry any weight. i just want the torque for hills. Everyone on this board thinks super duty's are only for towing and nothing esle. I crave power and torque, without having high rpm's. I'm not into cars, or small SUV's, and I must have someting with a tru 4x4. Towing, shmowing, enough already.

But the grass is always greener. We are trying to prevent another post in 2 months where Ron complains about the 10mpg and terrible ride, all for an extra $150/mo in payment.
For $1200-1500, you can swap your axle gears, much cheaper than upgrading trucks, but I'd start with a good engine tuner for $400ish.

I think that you should go ahead and get the v-10. Your reimbursed for mileage so 9-10mpg shouldn't be an issue and you would be satisfied with the torque you were looking for. Alot of people on this board are satisfied with custom tunes. In my opinon I would exhaust all other options before taking a hit on the depreciation. That's just me.

OK, but with the number of miles you say you put on...ain't gonna happen. Plus, you'll take more than a $2000 depreciation hit to trade a one year old truck in on a one year old truck.
