I'm taking $3000 hit, but I financed at 5.74 for 72/mo. Now I would finance 1.9 for 72, so in actuality I come out ahead. I only have my F150 6 months.

Ron,

When you drove the V10 - 6 speed, did you notice the average mileage on the dash? I drove an F250 5.4 auto last night and that thing was averaging ~11mpg driving very light in more city environment and a dog. I've read reports of the F250 V10 6 speed 4x4 crewcab getting upwards of 16-17mpg on the highway. I'm ordering a truck for delivery by 12/31 and am in the same situation as you. For the cost diff between an F150 Screw to a F250 Screw, is the F150 worth it? Only about $2k if I go with a manual SD. I did notice the ride quality is much better in the 150 along with steering. The 250's steering was not as quick or easy. Please update us with your decision.

I was set to go with auto and 4.10. The manual is a 4.30. Since these are new and not btoken in, you cannot get accurate mpg from computer. Now I found a dealer with reg cab with a diesel xlt and 6 speed manual.

why did you not say that earlier, get the 250 then. if they are reimbursing you then why not get the diesel?

ronfx4, that is a good configuration. I remembered a review on it about a year or so ago and dig it up...

Well whatever you drive home, post up some pictures of it. A regular cab SD sounds a little funny to me, but hey what ever tows your boat right? Wait...towing with a truck???

Ron the custom tunes are unique to each individual truck. The canned tunes are generic to every vehicle. As far as for it voiding your warranty all that is needed is to return the truck back to it's stock program. All the dealership sees is that the battery was disconected. There is alot of talk about this maybe check it out as an other option

I'm cancelling the V10 deal for now, and looking at the diesel reg cab at sarat ford, if you want to see what it has. While mpg isn't as of a concern, getting better with manual trans on diesel should do much more in resale value over a super cab v10. Do you agree? As for the tunes, hypertech is generic, and troyer still doesn't have one available.
