And no matter how well you clean it of snow before pulling out for work, as soon as you start driving the snow just blows all over it again and it pretty much stays that way until you brush it off again. The snow never seems to stop blowing around between the bed full of snow and the gap between the cab & bed creating a funnel that drives snow right up and over the rear window.
I hear you. A real pain, but such is life. And winter. I have a Back Rack too, and am wondering what I will do since not much room to swipe with the longhandled deck broom I have learned to love using to get snow off everything.

Yep, I keep grabbing for it every time I get into my new truck. I guess I'll get used to it.

My 04 XLT had alot more than my 09 XL. One of the things I remember the most is it had gray cloth seats that looked stained all the time. My 09 XL has nice smooth easy to clean vinal. In between the two trucks I had an 08 Edge Limited. All the bells and whistles. I didnt really care for all that stuff, wasnt impressed with the Sync at all.

My '05 Lariat was nice for sure and I loved that truck. I would still have it had it not been t-boned... it was never right again after that.

My '09 Platinum has SO much more that my '05 didn't I can't really say there is anything I miss.

I think if there were anything, it would be the fixed running boards. The auto drop down ones on the Plat. are nice by all means and a really cool feature. But, I like the look of the fixed running boards as the truck looks kinda plain without them. The only other thing my '05 had that my '09 doesn't was two-tone paint (black w/tan and black leather interior)... but again, it's an appearance thing and not something I absolutely miss... it's just different.

OGTerror -- Who made the front bar with the winch in the second picture? I like it.

The winch I installed by welding an adjustable tow receiver hitch to the vehicle's frame, then welded a tow hitch on the bottom of the winch's cradle. The winch is removable using this method. As for the Front bar, are you taking about the daystar Baja bar, the one that houses the 4 fog lights? If so check post #18 on this thread.

The last truck I had was a 01' F250 and I miss how it *almost* sat level when it was stock. This f150 has so much rake that it annoys me and a leveling kit is a must.

Also, no convex mirrors but that could of been changed with towing mirrors. Also, how about not having a separate cd/radio instead of it being built in. I know it's possible with an aftermarket dash piece, I'm just complaining.

All in all this truck is awesome and I love it.

What I miss, from the 92 XLT SC:

Wing glass
captains chairs with power (inflating) lumbar support
leather steeering wheel
power windows and door locks
dual tanks
tons of room under the hood
interior (dash and door panels) was a higher gloss level and still looked like new with a coat of armor all
the A/C was still ice cold after 18 years

where the 92 falls short
the 09 gets 20+mpg, the 92 13mpg on a good day
rear drum brakes
almost impossible to get to the EGR valve
