any where from $0-$130.

Book rate is 1 hour (takes 5 minutes to do), i couldn't find a dealer to do it any less and i called about 7 or 8.

Install takes 10 minutes. Tasca is $94 for the controller for the 2011's.

I've seen the TBC being bought for anywhere between $95-110 in this thread.

Maybe those posts are a bit dated, but, I've not found it anywhere for less than ~$150-160.

Is this just inflation, or am I looking in the wrong place? I need to check my build date to make sure which one I need.

When folks are buying from Tasca, are you buying from them online, calling, or the eBay ads?

a 2010 should use the display tbc which is more expensive. The 2011+ use one w/ no display as it's all displayed in the LCD screen in the dash, those are the $95-$110 ones.

Ah, I was under the impression it was the '09s that had the display on the unit. That makes sense.

Thanks!

Your build date is 3/22/10 which means that you will need OEM part number AL3Z19H332AA, the new number the BL3Z 2C006-AA is for post 9/10/10 trucks.

Maybe this might shed a little light for others looking to order....
My build date is 11-09.

According to this, I need the AL3Z19H332AA, correct?

See my post of 12/11. My 2010 was built 08/10 and I purchased from Tasca
part #AL3Z*19H332*AA for $169.40 + $18.63 for shipping (shipping cost is excessive). I first contacted my local Ford dealer to obtain the correct part # then confirmed same throught Tadca website. This TBC DOES NOT have the display in the unit but is accessed through the dash display functions. My service advisor @ local Ford dealer cut me a break and only charged me $55 to activate the unit. In & out in less than 30 min. In the end, the cost saving by purchasing via internet & dealer svce concession was $200. Well worth the hour to order on-line, install & activate.
I will be towing the trailer for the 1st time in 3 weeks and do not anticipate any issues as some individuals have posted previously. Hope this helps with making a decision.
