New 2010 FX4 finally at home

After many trials and tribulations over the past few months, we were finally able to take delivery of our new FX4 the day before Thanksgiving, no less. The truck now has a grand total of 49 miles on it of which 44 are mine. My initial impressions are very, very positive but this is my first truck so I have a lot to learn about this type of vehicle. I'm relieved I don't have to drive my Mustang through another north-east Wisconsin winter, especially if we get as much snow this year as we did last year.

We had the dealer remove the FX4 stickers before we brought it home and I'm pleased with the results. Now it's time to get a BedRug, BakFlip G2 and some good running boards. We like the 6 inch step bars that are part of the Lariat chrome package but I think they're something like $600. Ouch. But, my 5 year old and 7 year old daughters do need a bit of help to climb aboard.

Here are a few pictures taken today:

I hope that's not too many pictures at a time.

LOL. You're so excited you forgot the pics!

Congratulations on the new truck and the new job!

Stay warm.

I can see the pictures ok so I think I messed something up when I created the album. I'll have to double check to see what privacy setting I used, although I don't know if that matters or not. My face is as red as my truck!

Ok, I changed the album setting from private to public. I don't know if this will now allow the pictures to be displayed or if I need to start over in a new thread or not. Time to do some more FAQ reading. I could have sworn I had this part all figured out but, d'oh!

I can see them just fine. Beautiful red FX4, yellow stang that looks quite nice, and a toy that looks like it hauls some butt in the snow.

Glad things worked out well for you. Have fun with that truck.

EDIT: Just noticed you got the little flex fuel emblem on your tailgate, too. My 09 didn't have that.

The yellow Mustang GT and SkiDoo Legend 500 SS (600 cc engine) are both 2004 model year and are a lot of fun. Neither one is the latest/greatest but I've owned each of them since new and they're paid for. My 7 year old daughter loves "driving" the snowmobile while she's sitting in front of me (she has a real need-for-speed). I used to tow a Polaris XLT snowmobile behind my 1995 Mustang GT. Now THAT got some funny looks but I figured if the Mustang got stuck in the snow I could always use the sled to get home.

I sure hope you're going to say it's the best vehicle you've ever purchased, had no problems whatsoever, etc. It's my first truck of any kind so this is all very new to me. Also very exciting!

Dang sweet truck. I have an 09 FX4 in black. I have been flip flopping back and forth between taking the FX4 stickers off for 6 months now. Just can't decide. I swapped for an xlt chrome grill as well. Very sweet ride, I can't say just how much I love this truck. Two trips to Canada with it from Texas towing my boat and it handled it great. Enjoy

You put a chrome grill on an otherwise monotone black truck?
