What do you think off your truck?

Like Comet said above, there are so many things right with this truck that it would be difficult to list them all and if you are coming out of a different car/truck the dislikes may or may not be important to you. What I will say is that I REALLY like my 2009 Platinum and when it comes to which car to drive - I generally grab the keys to the Plat. I also have an '08 BMW M3 vert - so that's saying something I can definitley tell that Ford knows the F-150 is their moneymaker (best selling vehicle they produce) and I can see the time/research put into this truck. From the quality ride, excellent fit and finish, mostly nice interior materials (still hate the upper door panel plastics - just cheap looking on a $50K vehicle), to the cool features like the side and tailgate steps, locking center console, excellent Nav/Sound system and Synch that is ahead of most other nav/voice command systems, it appears Ford listened to thier customers when they redesigned this new F-150. The one thing I don't like is that you can also see where the beancounters had their say and deleted options that many other cars have - like express windows (on a Screw) would be really nice, global down from the key FOB would be nice so you can vent the hot air as you are approaching the truck rather than having to get in the truck, insert the key and finally be able to lower the windows, small things like footwell lighting, rear passenger reading lights (like my '05 Lariat had) that have now disappeard, xenon self-leveling headlights would be a great option...but overall this is an awesome truck and the best (IMO) on the market....

No Prob. Glad we could help. P.S. I just traded in my 07 xlt screw for a 2010 xlt screw, and the 2010 is a better truck. It feels more solid, rides better, seats are more comfortable. Not that I didn't like my 07 it was an awesome truck, but the 2010 is an improvement all the way around. The only complaint I have right now is the buggy issues with my Iphone and Sync, but hopefully an update will be available soon to fix it.

I never even thought of that until I met my fiance about 2 years ago. Her 2004 Oldsmobile Alero tells her when her WW is low, and I thought, "Damn, even my '09 Platinum doesn't tell me that!"

Traded an '08 F250 Crew Cab Lariat Diesel on my '09. Before that, had an '06 F150 SCREW Lariat 4x2 that I dearly loved. Bought the Diesel because I thought it would make towing our 27ft travel trailer more enjoyable....and it towed well. However, not enough to make me want my F150 back.
So now I have an '09 Lariat SCREW 4x4 with all the bells and whistles. I loved my '06 and I love this new one as well. I like all of the improvements. And soon, I will like it more when I get my Magnaflow on it like I had on my '06.
One thing I will say, and others will probably kill me, but I did like the seats better in my 2006. I am a bigger kind of guy, and to me they just felt better than these (not that these are bad). Then again, the heat and a/c in the '09 seats make up for any difference I suppose.

Had a couple of recent 250 Diesels and most recently an 08 150 Limited that I just traded with 91,000. Traded for a 09 xlt. Trucks feels larger, is quieter, smoother, more comfortable seats. For me, the arm rest on the door is now in the perfect position.
So far looks like I picked up at least 1mpg. 5.4 vs 5.4. I have not found anything yet that I like less with this truck and I am comparing a more basic XLT with a Limited. The standard stereo is mildly better but that is not saying much.
The truck feels more powerful as well with the new 6 speed. A couple of times with the old 4speed auto, I had trouble towing 7000lbs on an incline with the steep 1st gear. I definitely will not have that problem with this truck.

Traded a 92 XLT SC long bed, for the 09 XL
Likes: the built in electronics (peace of mind??):
roll stability, trailer sway, traction control & ABS
trip computer MPG DTE etc.
built in 4 and 7 pin trailer connector
integrated elec trailer brake
decent stereo with CD (plays MP3s) and aux input
headlights are brighter than the 92, so are all the modern cars / trucks though.
the only vehicle I've ever sat in that I don't need the seat all the way back.
it is a reg cab and there is plenty of room behind the seat.
locking tailgate
seats
fuel economy of the 3V V-8
Miss from my old 92
wingglass
PW & Pl
captains chairs that fit perfectly with power lumbar support
the orange /red light that tells you what gear you are in is too bright and too noticable @ night.
just like others said:
combination of steering wheel and armrest placement, not optimum for me
why does the combined armrest / center seat back lock in the down position??? sorrta a pain
