Accidentally Deprogrammed my Remote Starter

While trying to increase the run time from 10 min to 15 min I somehow caused my remote start not to start my truck at all. Now when I press the start button on the key fob the power comes on momentarily and the horn beeps three times then everything shuts down. Besides this new problem the truck starts fine normally when using the key.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I am wondering if I reset the system somehow by holding the start button down to long while during the program process. Also does anyone know if the 2010's has the LED all the program directions mention? I could not find it lit or otherwise.

You can find the various Ford remote start Technical manuals on this website, goto install instructions and then electronics: http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/GfaWeb/techSpecs.do

Your LED must be hidden. Try to find the brain unit for the system and then trace back off that. another guy mentioned he found his after taking off the plastic around the steering wheel.

3 beeps usually means a door is open. I saw your other post where you pasted some info about the 2010 Mykey work around that involves cutting 2 wires. Did you cut the A-20 door ajar wire? maybe that is messing up your system?

4 beeps is a tach problem. well if you did reset it then it might have changed the Tach/tachless setting. The default setting is for tach but our trucks can normally be hooked up tachless. That setting is in option bank 2, option 1. LED on for tachless.

I was able to finally reprogram the remote start system. It helps to have the correct manual to work from. I was using the manual that was written for the security system and remote start. I was able to change the run time from 10 to 15 minutes too which was the original reason I started messing with the system to begin with.

Thanks for all the help.

There is a difference in the systems programming. I have the Remote Start one as well the Remote Start/Alarm System programming manuals. Just ask and I will post it.
