2009 F150 owner!

Hey guys,
I got my deal done on a leftover 09 F150 XL 4x4 super crew in oxford white. its cloth interior and very basic. im looking to do a leveling kit and either new wheels and tires or just new tires on the stock wheels. i saw alot of good photos of the 2" leveling kit installed. maybe its just me but the truck looks leveled from the factory? might just be me.

i traded out an 07 Yukon Denali XL for this one and im happy to be back with Ford after a long wait.

Congrats on the purchase! Yeah I believe that the 2009/2010 look "more level" from the factory than the '04-'08' did. That being said, a level kit and 35"s would look pretty sweet.

im so happy to be back in the ford family. i did research on a leveling kit and i found it for around $100. im researching what tires i like. im gonna check out the local Les Schwab and see what they can do. I really want wheels but i dont have that type of cash right now. my truck is white with black all over so black wheels would compliment the black trim

after some research, im gonna go with hell bent steel for my 2" lift. i want to do a big 4" lift one day but the money isnt there. a 2" lift and some 33's will be enough for me. i read that the 09 models were designed a bit different in the fenders so would i be able to use 35's instead?

I traded out my 01 Z71 Bowtie for my 09 F150, no regrets. Also looking for a 1.5 or 2 inch level, hell bent seems pretty common, AutoSpring seems to be the one I keep hearing about though

Educate me on what leveling is. Same as lift kit? But why 1.5"?

Thanks,

ks

A level kit is just a spacer that sits on top of your coil springs in the front. This lifts the front of the vehicle. Because a lot of trucks come with the front end slanted down, this spacer effectively levels the truck.
