you could always go with the harley headlights, pretty expensive though, but they look better.

There are a few nice aftermarket headlights assemblies, that Ive seen. Thinking about getting these - http://www.gorecon.com/product.php?p...09-11&p_cat=82
Anybody tried their products?

Also has anybody come across good aftermarket fog-lights?

I hated the headlights when the new trucks were released. I wanted to buy a new truck and throw the '08 front clip on it, LOL.

I didn't like the tailgate on the new truck either.

Now, I like everything about the new truck better than the previous generation. Go figure.

I just received the Smoked version of those headlights. Should be installing them tonight I hope. I ordered them from ebay with 6000k HIDs included. Recon doesnt carry the Smoked version. They look REALLY nice in person. The halos and LEDs require some wiring (not plug n play) and the HID kit requires some cutting of the new healight so we'll see.

Here's another thread with a pic of another truck (from another forum) with one stock headlight and one Smoked headlight to compare. I'll be adding pics of before and after to that thread soon. Or maybe start a new thread if im feeling really froggy. lol

Sounds good - post pics once Youre finished.
Have an HID kit already so will see if it is possible to just get different bulbs and make it work. Really like this assembly. Post a few installation process pics if You can. Thx

It makes me wonder if the '06-'08 ones also sucked. Not sure if it's the tiny round design, or if they are so low; as to be completely useless. But either way... well, they are completely useless.
Did you bother to try to adjust the fog lights. I adjusted mine up and they are awesome now. From the factory they seem to be adjusted way to far down and everyone just things they are useless. Just adjust them up and you will be happier.

Here are a few phone pics... more to come when weather isnt so cold.

My take: Headlights look GREAT. A bit darker than I thought the smoked would be but I like em a lot. Halos and LEDS are dim. Halos are REALLY dim n not visible in daylight. LEDs are slightly visible in daylight. HIDs that came in package are only 35w and could use more power. 50-55w is the better choice. The 6000k HIDs in this pkg are the perfect (non-blue...non-ricer)HID color. The design of the hi-beams blows away the poorly performing stock hi-beams for those hating the stock hi-beams like me..
