Keyless start like in the 2010 Taurus?
Has anyone done any research on how feasible it would be to install the keyless/pushbutton start system like is found in the new 2010 Taurus?
I have read that it is an option that is coming to the 2011 SuperDuty and then to other vehicles after that. I would guess it is terribly expensive direct from Ford, but surely someone on this board or in the aftermarket has come up with something. I saw the threads on adding the push button starter but you still have to use the key.
If you can't eliminate the key all together, to me, the push button start is more of a novelty than anything else.
The coin holder on the dash would be a great place to install the pushbutton.

That Taurus is a sweet vehicle. Has a lot of cool features that would make the F-150 even more desireable. Although I doubt you'll see many, if any, of them on the 2011 F-150. I bet they have the new engine lineup and very little else different, if the rumors of an all-new 2012 are true.
Push button start, heated steering wheel, much better remote start, better sound insulation, better testing to eliminate rattles and squeekys, full set of 4 splash guards available at launch, Upfitter Switches (always hot), more stuff I'm too tired to think of now, would all be cool.
