Its BLIS and it stands for Blind spot Information System. I couldn't really sum it up for you so I copied this from Ford's website

"When a vehicle enters the blind spot zone, an indicator light provides a warning in the outside mirror corresponding to the side from which the vehicle is approaching. The Cross Traffic Alert feature uses blind spot monitoring sensors to audibly and visually alert you to impending traffic while slowly backing out of a driveway/parking spot and another vehicle is approaching from either side."

The 3.2 year average time period between each major update was was not to start until 2008, which could explain why the 2006 Edge took longer and the 2008 Super Duty was updated more quickly. They were averaging 4.4 years between each update. The 3.2 average puts them in the same league as the best of their competition and that is where they want to be.

Ah. Then we should start seeing spy pics of the 2012 by the end of the year. Nice. Though to be honest, I sure get tired of seeing "brenda priddy" written across every single one.

I would love to see all those new features on the F150. Just don't want a new body or redesign every 3 yrs, thats crazy. I thinl ppl would get burnt out if cars were changed that often.

Just because they update the vehicle every three years, doesn't mean you have to buy a new vehicle. My personal opinion is that they should upgrade the car every three years, and the average consumer should skip one generation and buy a new car every six years.
