Just took the truck across the state from Green Bay to the twin cities last weekend and managed 18.1 mpg with my '09 Lariat 4x4. I was going about 72 the enitre way and was pretty happy with 18 considering the cold weather....

Wow, you must only drive downhill or something. Are those hand calculated or from the truck display?

I get around 11.5 just running around the island here in my 09 Lariat 4x4. However, with the recent addition of my new Magnaflow system, I have ticked up to 12.1 same routes. And that is with me cranking the music of the maggie!

Ha-ha, no, it's the 3V 4.6L 4x4 w/3.73 gears and 255/75/17 AT tires running 39 psi. Has plenty of get up and go if you need it too.

The trip computer will be reporting 22-24 mpg after all freeway miles but it's almost always 1-2 mpg high so I hand calculate each tank. But the proof is in all the tanks in which I get over 700 miles.

Right now it's getting crappy mileage because my wife is doing hours of practice parking and backing up her horse trailer. Last I looked it was sitting at only 16 mpg on the trip computer which probably means about 15 mpg actual. But it has been idling a lot and driving around town. And I wonder if all that backing up SUBTRACTS miles from the trip meter like it did back in the day of mechanical odometers?

I don't have the 4x4, but I took mine on my first long trip this weekend to Dallas, put over 800 miles all highway and averaged 17 per the computer and 16.8 hand calculated. That was driving 75-85mph most of the time. So I'm very happy with the numbers considering my 04 only got about 14.5 highway.
