Unhappy Sippery step bars on new FX2

I finally got my new 2010 FX2 supercrew but am not sure about the new step bars as they are very slippery and I almost went flat on my butt when getting out of the truck.I take my elderly parents out and about once in a while and am concerned that they will slide on the bars getting in and out. Has anyone else got the same problem of the bars being slippery??

When I picked up my truck they had mine armor all'ed up. NOT COOL. Now that they have been through some use and had plenty of dirt and salt they are nice and tacky.

Cover 'em with black skateboard grip tape.

Have not had any problems with mine. Althought my girlfriend complains about getting in and out of it with her high heel shoes. Oh well.

I have the stainless steal 4" step bars on my FX4, and they aren't really slippery, but since I don't have any mud flaps on my truck, a serious amount of snow/mud covers them up. I have been much more diligent in getting in and out.
