small snowy trip to the wind farm

well this past saturday we took a trip up the mountain to look at the wind turbines and boy did they get some snow.

Some of the snow drifts were 6 to 10 feet high along with huge piles of snow.

Glad to see my old home area, even though you can't see much beyond the snow. Born in Johnstown, raised in Ebensburg. See my gallery for a pic from 1958.

Cool pics man. I live in Tipton, just a few miles from you. I picked the right winter to buy my first 4X4 truck!!! This weather is ridiculous. My 4X4 XLT CC is handling this deep snow great!

The truck is looking good Red, with the light bar all lit up. Is that a recon light bar under your doors? I know where those wind turbines are. Great pics.

Hey ruffn-it, your pics are pretty cool. First one looks like you might have gotten stuck.

nope, not stuck, truck plowed thru no problem n 4hi, didnt even lock the rears (at least that time i didnt).

Here's a pic where i almost got stuck the next day with another 1 1/2 feet on it, and went thru that left snow bank where the snow plow put the snow. Had to lock the rears and turn off traction control to get some wheel spin to dig a little.

we took advantage of it too, did some snowmobiling (couldnt even see the sled 10 yards in front of us). also did some snowboarding and tubing, great time! o yea, some wheeling too. Got to learn more about this truck and the best way to climb and desend steep snow covered hills with it.

Well I have had fun this winter the trucks handled it all, funny think is when I started up the mountain their was no snow but near the top it was snowing and well coverd

as for the the side light lights I got them at adavance auto for 35 bucks and so far they have worked great and at night they are very bright and when driving near walls and cars you can see them in side the cab

and my light bar days are numbered I'm goin to be geting a full brush guard and selling the light bar
