how to install OEM fender flares

I like the look of OEM fender flares, found a takeoff set on ebay. My question is, how do you install these? So you have to drill holes in the body? Can I just use 3M tape? I'm not realy keen on drilling holes, maybe to the underside of the fenders? Any pix of this install would be great. THANKS

The ones on my KR have plastic pins holding the flare to the sheet metal.

I need to go look at one with flares nstalled. I'm very nervous about drilling holes and getting them lined up just right.

You definitely don't want to drill as many holes as you would have to for the OEM fender flares.

Ouch, that's the first time I've seen the hole. I think I'm gonna do the 3m tape, and just drill the holes on the inside for the ford plugs. Thanks for the photos

I just bought a set of OEM flares. I too do not wish to drill into the actual fender to install them. How did the 3M tape go and where did you place the tape on the flare?

I'm eventually adding these. The black 3m tape will hold. It's strength is unbelievable

But where on the flare would you place the tape? On the mounting tabs? Any pics or detailed info would be appreciated.

Mine have not come loose in the three years they've been on, 3m tape is great. I just placed it every where the flares made contact with the truck.

Hey need your help

2010 F150 Platinum trying to figure out how to remove the oem flares i have removed the push plug cannot see/figure out what else needs to come off. What else needs to be taken off does the fender mud shield needs to be removed ? did you leave you chrome strip alone or did you trim them ?

thanks
