I bought a Code Alarm system about a month ago and have it all wired up. Works good except for a few things.

I can't seem to get the control module to go into the learning mode for the dimming feature. The manuals says to click LOCK, UNLOCK, LOCK, UNLOCK, LOCK, UNLOCK, LOCK and the LED should stay solid, but it doesn't stay solid. I've tried clicking fast, slow, clicking and holding. What's the trick?? I noticed that they left out a button in one section of a programming sequence, but included the button in another section of the same programming sequece. Is that the case here?

Lastly, the unit doesn't unlock when I hit unlock once, it just disarms the alarm. I hit unlock once and it disarms, twice and it unlocks all doors and three times it unlocks only the drivers door. It arms/locks fine after 1 lock press though.

Any ideas?
