The 09 and 10 were improved engine that had already been out. 11 and 12 the kinks were being worked out and by 13 and 14 pretty much smooth sailing. I've started to come around on the ecoboosts lately. I wouldn't buy one in a truck (Gas V8 or Diesel preference) but I'd consider it in a car now I think.
