Any one have issues with truck surging wene taking off. Dealer has all ready re programed ecu once. The truck does it the worst after its been driven and sets for awhile. It then does it the first time you touch the gas and will surge for about the first 10 feet your moving .This is a 5.4

Sorry, I think you are in the wrong forum.

This is a Ford forum, not a Toyota one.

Good luck though.

How did a Toyota dealer flash your ecu? More importantly, why did you let a Toyota dealer flash your ecu?

JK, Take notice where you are when you start out.

Are you on a slight down hill and you lift up off fuel pedal and it starts to
go into second gear which may feel like it surges??

I ask because you notice when you take it easy the truck likes to shift into
2nd gear quickly. Helps fuel mieage. My wifes vehicle would do something like
that on occasion but it was not on level ground, just an area that may have wanted to ease up on pedal...May be this helps. Good luck.

My truck does that as well, but i noticed that if you wait and leave the truck in park for like 7 secs after u turn the car on, the RPM's will go slightly down a bit and it'll stop that little ref jump.

Sounds perfectly normal to me... RPMs stay high when you first start, especially when it's cold.
