F150 or Ram 1500?

I have to say, these trucks are tough as nails too. I have 57,000 miles on my 09 F-150 now with only 1 problem so far. My O2 sensor went out. That's it, and I put this truck through hell and back everyday. This is my 6th F-150 and 8th Ford truck and it's definetely the toughest, most reliable, best-of-everything-truck I've owned. Other than the lack of jaw-dropping power, you can't go wrong!

I would be very concerned about placing coil springs on the rear of the new 2010 Dodge trucks... This is very interesting story when I had some after market items installed by the local Ford body shop, this dealership also sells Dodge, I manager told me that they have many more Dodge trucks in for repair than F-150s. I would go with the Ford...

The styling of the Ford is waaaay better in my opinion, but obviously this is personal preference. Look at the interior fit and finish of both, especially if you can find both of them after a year or so. Also look at the cabin space and design. No comparison in these areas. Hands down Ford!
PS The Dodge does have more power but is not matched to the trans as well as the Ford. Look at the full load hauling comparisons on Youtube by an independent testing company.

It is done. I came home tonight with a 2010 F150 Super Crew Lariat 4x4.
My initial goal was to get a base level truck...I don't need top of the line luxure features...I hunt, I fish, I haul stuff. I was originally looking for an XLT. I almost hit an even cheaper version with the rubbery floor cover.
However...I brought the wife with me tonight to test drive two trucks. Another Silverado and the F150 Lariat they showed me last night. I drove two Silverados...one was great, the other shook on the highway...in fairness it might have been flat spots on the tires because it had been sitting a while.
I got Chevy's best price and then went to Ford.
The truck I wanted the night before had traded. Not that big a deal I thought...but then the wife started getting into this whole shopping thing. Before I knew it she was giving some heavy input to what SHE wanted in my truck.
I came away with a loaded Lariat. Power everything, Moonroof, sliding rear window, backup mirror, heated and air conditioned leather captains chairs...she liked it all. So...to keep her happy I hit the offer. All in they took about 7 or 8 grand off MSRP.
It only had 13 miles on it. They've got one or two things to do to the truck before I sign for it but they are minor.
It's a well built truck.
