People either love em or hate em. I'm with you, I've used them in the past and have never had a problem. And I've always picked up a little more response in the throttle. I used a K&N because they're easy to pick up at your local auto parts store. Once the truck gets around 2500 RPM it really begins to shine. It may not be the fastest off the line, but it'll cook.

Get one of these:

Go to Lowes or somewhere like that and get the key cut - program the new key yourself with the instructions in the owner's manual.
Now you loose the fob hanging off the keyring.

Follow the instructions in the manual and you'll be set. I will add you MUST have two working PAT keys to do the programming yourself. This is why its advisible to actaully keep a extra key (total of 3) just in case one is lost. The owners manual will tell you everything - I'd recommend you read the instructions first, then start the programming as you only have a set period of time to complete the steps. I had one of these keys with my 06 KR, and now my 09. They are great!

As far as the K&N's go, most people say they have trouble with too much oil getting to the MAF......again...follow the recommended cleaning/re-oiling instructions and all is well!

Any muffler shop can get you a variety of tips... I reccomend getting stainless as the regular chrome ones will rust eventually or tarnish/stain. I plan on a dual wall 3 1/2 inch tip and no other exhaust mods as anything else is just noise and I already like the tone of the stock muffler.

My favorite mods are those which I do myself, here are some favorites of mine so far;
DIY Custom Tinted Tails
Recon LED Bed lights
DIY Tinted 3rd Brake Light
Chrome Turn Signal Bulbs
From this;
To this;
Painted Brake Calipers
DIY Clear Bra on Bumper & Flare
I've got more, but no clear pictures of the mods themselves, so stay tuned Spring is just about here and I feel some new pictures coming.
