Here is a pic. The rusty bolt is the top of the shock rod. I have my shock height set to 1.5" The rusty threads are 14/16" above the nut now. When it was doing the clunk clunk it was 11/16". For me it seems like the spring was not compressed enough and it was bouncing within the strut assembly when I hit a bump.

Is 1.5" the highest setting? I forget what each setting was. I can tell you right now my bolt isn't as visible as yours.

14/16ths from the top of the nut to the top of the bolt on mine too. 2.25 is the highest, mine's set at 2.25.

Take it back to whoever installed them and say "what the Hell" I would have installed them myself if I wanted it done wrong!

I'm out of town do you think it's a nut that can be tightened with a socket wrench by myself? If not I'll take it in on Monday.

You could do it but when the guy fixed mine he said he needed to jack it up and get the wheel off the ground.

BlacknTan, what kind of tires are these. I want some of that! ( I found what they were in your album and checked them out on TireRack.com, awesome tires!!!!!)

How do they handle? Are they loud on the road? Please give me some input, thanks.

So I took some photos. It appears one bolt isn't even lined up centered. I'll definitely be stopping by the shop to have them tighten them up and recenter the other one. Does it look bad to you guys?

I just tightened them up as much as I could before the wrench lost grip. You have to hold the center rod with an allen wrench so it won't spin. Next I need to find a tool that can fit in the hole to tighten the bolt while allowing me to hold the rod with the allen wrench. Also, as I tightened the one that wasn't centered it popped into alignment.
