Opinions on leather interior on FX4

Ok I searched couldnt find anything. I am a little isolated in Key West. I am not sure if I want leather in my FX4 or not. I dont need it but it would be nice to have. But then it gets very hot and heats up the interior down here in the hot sun. There is pros and cons to both. I just want to hear opinions on if you like your cloth or leather and why. Thanks

I LOVE the black leather in my FX4. The insert detailing really sets if off. I haven't experienced it in the summer months yet, but I'm sure it will be brutal. Oh well, just have to get a sunscreen. Maybe a remote start too so I can have it cooled by the time I get in the truck.

Get a Lariat and get the cooled seats. Forget about hot seats again.

The thing turning me off about the lariat is the wood grain. Sry I hate wood grain in cars. I also would probably get an XLT but i like the flow through shifter. I have a column shifter on my 04 explorer and hate it.

I love the leather - I didn't realize they had the middle design until I picked it up. I have 5% tint on the back half and 15% on the front. And I use a heat shield - made specifically for the windshield and fits like a glove.

I do need that remote start!

It looks good for cloth and it seems like it will wear pretty good. It also cleans up pretty easily from my messy dog and doesn't hold on to his hair like other fabrics do. (especially the fabric that is in my Honda Civic SI, that stuff is the worst!!!!!)

It's also nice in the frigid cold temps (doesn't feel as cold as leather) and may breath better in the summer although I haven't had a full hot summer with it yet.

My experience isn't good with the modern F-150 cloth. It stains and wears badly. My 2003 didn't, but it was much thicker. This is one of the reasons I traded my 2010 XLT for a 2010 Lariat with leather. I'm on my second Mustang with black leather. It isn't too bad heat wise if you have tinted windows. If not, look out in hot states like mine!

I have 5% all the way around on my '08 black Lariat w/black leather. Interior even in the 100-degree days we sometimes get in Okla. is still bearable. The cooled seats would be great, but it honestly doesn't take more than a minute after startup to get the truck cooled down. You will want the reverse-camera if you get dark tint though, because you can't see out the back or side windows much at night.
