2009 stx to a 2010 fx2?

im looking to flip my 2009 stx with a few mods for a 2010 crew cab fx2, i like the fx packages but have zero need for a 4x4 so that leads me to the fx2, (i do like the lifted look but refuse to do any thing more than just level it. so that being the case i made a call and was told for a 2010 crew fx2 that stickered for 37,880. A-plan and my military discount would take it to 28,400 plus tax lic and fees pay off for my trade will be easy to come by im sure. for those of you who have bought recently does that discount sound in line with the rest?

I havent bought one yet but from what i have read it seems like a pretty good deal. Hope to get a deal like that when i buy. But the fx2 is very nice. I would opt for one of those but I want a 4x4 so ima grab an fx4 when the time comes.

My FX2 stickered for $39,700, my D-plan price was in the high $34k range (about $34,900, don't have the exact figure in front of me). I was then eligible for $7000 in rebates. Tag, lic fee, state insp ran $1062. Doc fee $75. Dealer inventory tax $50. And then I bought a 5/75 PremiumCare ESP for blood cost (ppl would freak if I posted what that cost so PM me if you're interested in what the true cost is).

As far as the truck goes, badass! Awesome truck, bar-none. I'm waiting for a good day to detail mine, then I'll post pics. 'Course, you're coming from an '09, the last time I had a truck was at the end of '05 ('03 XLT Screw). The change won't be as great for you, as it was me.

I bought my 2010 FX2 on New Years Eve day. It was stickered at $38,295. With my trade and discounts/rebates. I got it for about $29k and some change. So I think yours is a pretty good deal.

Im still in iraq, so its all over the phone but the guy was telling me there is 3500 in reg rebates and 1000 if i finance thru ford, plus my 500 mil discount
so if i do it all 5000 rebates and the a plan discount total just shy of 10k I have an stx now its nice but kinda plain for my liking, but oh well you live and learn, i have about 4500 in upgrades on my truck already, thats where the deal is gonna hinge i have a feeling they are gonna offer me somthing stupid for my trade.

You can't beat A/Z plan (D plan is exactly $100 more than that, they used to all be the same price but a few years back Ford increased the D plan price $100 more than A/Z. Bull***** if ya ask me...). Ask the dealer to see the actual invoice of the truck, it has the A plan price printed down at the bottom in a box, right next to the D plan price. You then subtract all eligible rebates from that price. If the dealer won't show you the invoice after you provide them with a PIN or at least some sort of proof that you ARE eligible for A plan, then threaten to go elsewhere. There is no reason to NOT show an invoice to an A/X/Z/D customer. It is the easiest transaction in the world for a dealer when an A/X/Z/D customer shows up...

Yes they will! And your $4500 in "upgrades" could be the deal breaker when evaluating the ACV of your truck b/c most dealers don't see stereo equipment, 22" wheels, swapped out grilles, etc etc, as "upgrades". And I have NO IDEA what you've done to your truck, I'm just using that as an example. Is the truck still in TX? Is there any way to have somebody take it to a store and have someone put a buy bid on it? That would be a starting point before you even start talking new truck to the dealer...

no the truck is in louisville ky, i was actually thinking of taking the wheels and spacers off b4 trying to trade, or sell it out right as is then buy the new one and start over but i would like to put my leveling kit and wheels and tires on the fx2 not a big fan of either wheels they put on the fx2 just imo, but no grille or any thing like that, new stero, no subs alpine speakers and amp, no engine mods or thing
like that, just a spray in liner, trailer package, chrome door handles, the touch pad to unlock it stuff like that real subtle up grades.

And no point trying to get a buy bid on a ford in louisville, with two ford plants every one buys new on a-plan....
