The SCT tuner is available for the 2010 models, they are doing custom tunes for them too. He's done the new trucks with 37's and not had issues.
Has anyone cured this issue with a Gryphon to calibrate the larger tire size?

BUMP for any news on the subject? I have my edge calibrated for 295/70/18's and still run into this issue when turning on snow. The TC definitely jumps in sooner than I'd like it to but it's not really a big issue for me

Thankfully I found this thread before ordering the BFG 285/65r20's I was planning on ordering this week...

Good move Ford... Make it impossible to run anything larger than 31" tires on your 4x4 without TC problems... I'm assuming that this is not going to be fixed since Ford's know about it for over a year now and has done nothing to fix it.

Wish I had know this before I bought my 2011 FX4 a couple weeks ago...

I knew I should have bought a Toyota...

Going to have to sell this POS for a loss now... No damn way I'm keeping it if I can't run anything over 31" tires on it...

Shame... It would have been a nice truck...

Seems like you have to try it out on your own truck to see if larger tires/lift kit works.

As I mentioned in another thread I have a 2010 SCREW FX4 and installed the 34.5" Raptor wheels & tires, 315/70-17 and Bilstein 5100's with zero problems whatsoever.

I typically turn the TC off when offroad, I've been in the mud, through streams, in deep sand, crawling over rocks. no problems.
No issues with TC on in the city either.

Yeah, I'll just head on down to the local 4x4 shop and drop 5K on rims, tires, and a 6" lift to "see if larger tires/lift kit works" and it it doesen't and I've seen about 100 posts where people say they now have to turn off TC before pulling out their driveway, then I'll spend another 2K getting the lift removed and on the loss selling a used lift kit, rims, and tires... I don't think so...

Yes, the TSB 11-02-05, reprogramming the ABS module made the system less sensitive to activate the traction control. I've felt this concern in one stock truck. I used to feel it often in my 2010 FX4 with 275/70/18, until I performed the tsb, now it's gone.

x2 if you just turn TC off the problem is gone.......

Well to add some accuracy to your reference to my post, I got the Raptor rim/tires for $1300 and as I said added the Bilstein 5100's, which was a 2" lift, not a six inch.

You obviously are not going to get an answer as to whether bigger tires will work on your particular truck without actually doing it. So either stop worrying about it and do something else or bite the bullet and go for it.

Wow. How old are you? FYI the 18" rims on my truck had 32.2" tires from the factory. I now have 34.4" Nittos and it is NOT too much of a stress for me to raise my right arm and "push" a button for several seconds. I don't even break a sweat in this strenuous activity. Is this the reason you dubbed your truck a P.O.S.? Grow up, and enjoy your Toyota.
