Add another to the "dun" list. I did mine the way "ag0r33" did his. Popped off the cap & tapped into the existing wires. The drivers side wires needed some tugging to get enough slack so I could tap into them. The hardest part was cutting out the back of the reflector. It looks pretty sweet!

to those that did the hole method, is there room in there for me to use plastic splice caps instead of twist tie/tape?

First mod, done!

I just finished this using the hole method. There was plenty of room to use splice connectors; I used some 18-22ga ones from Radio Shack and had no issues at all. Same as everyone else, the driver's side is a little snug, but some pulling towards the top of the wire gets you another 2" or so.

Sorry about the pic quality, all I can find right now is my camera phone.

Glad I could help out. I agree cutting the reflector was the only hard & time consuming part. But it was well worth it!

So I was thinking, what if one were to add (2) strips instead of one... and wire one as a running light, and the other as an indicator? Would that work??!?!?!

It would, if you could get 2 strips to even fit. But we all know ANYTHING is possible

Two strips wont fit you could cut the strip in half and have half blinker and half indicator

Some this size...

& These would fit..

^^ If you look at the package those 2 side by side are the size of one strip that I used...these pictured are ultra slim so it could be done, not with 2normal sized led strips like I and everyone else has used.

That is what I'm talking about!! Alright, I'm going to give this a go. Someone remind me what needs to happen electrically to get this to work?

With two strips they won't be centered in the reflectors. You need to use one strip with every other light wired to the parking lights.

I ran the wires down the inside part of the mirror, meaning the hole that is closer to the truck body. Opened it up a little bit with my Dremel and fed the wires down. Going through that hole lets you drop the wires straight down and they will come right out the hole that you popped the cover off of.
